Admired throughout the world for its natural beauty, Phi Phi Island rivals Phuket as the most precious pearl in Southeast Asia. Turquoise wave, palm-fringed beaches and dazzling white sand are the visible magnificence, but the underwater world of Phi Phi is also unequalled in term of biological diversity and sheer spectacle. Phi Phi consists of two islands: the craggy, uninhabited Phi Phi Le, and the pristine Phi Phi Don. It is usually the latter we mean when we speak of Phi Phi Island. Phi Phi Don looks like a barbell with two limestone mountains joined by a narrow strip of land, creating two adjoining curving beaches. Phi Phi Le famed for the prehistoric paintings to be seen the the so-called "Viking Cave".
