Doi Intanon National Park and Kew Mae Pan kew mae pan, nature trail, Thailand , Chiang Mai, Thailand

A day in the embrace of nature! Located south of Chiang Mai is one of the most fertile troves of natural treasure in Thailand, Doi Intanon National Park. The invigorating mountain air and fresh, cool climate makes it a rejuvenating break from the city.

Doi Intanon, 8514 feet above sea level - the highest peak in Thailand, is probably the most preserved in Thailand. It is extremely popular among bird watchers, with more than 383 species having been reported.

On this tour stops are made at: Wat Phrathad Chom Thong with its holy relic and ancient treasures, Wachiratharn Waterfall, the twin chedi - built by Thai Airforce to honour King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit, and the summit - containing the shrine of Chao Inthawitchayanon, the former prince of Chiang Mai. A short trek along Michaels Trail offers a beautiful and unforgettable experience. Lunch on this tour is served picnic style.

To touch and feel the true natural beauty of Doi Intanon National Park, join us for a 2 hour walk along the Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail, the most fertile nature trail in the area.

The walking trail can be divided into 3 stages, consists of a total of 21 stations. At each station, there is an interpretive sign in Thai and English language explaining different landscape and ecosystems of the trail. https://doubletakesblog.com/2018/06/chiang-mai-doi-inthanon-local-guide.html Kew Mae Pan is a circular hiking trail, meaning visitors will go all the way right back to the starting point led by the Hmong guide.
